CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

This cancellation and refund policy (“Policy”), together with the Terms and Conditions sets out our procedures and policies in accepting cancellation and refund. By agreeing to use this website www.dointeriorsyourself.com and any associated software or mobile app (collectively, the “Platform”) and services provided by  Homespun Technologies LLP via Do Interiors Yourself (“DiY”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by the terms contained in this Policy without modification. If you do not agree to the terms contained in this Policy, you are advised not to transact on this website or Platform.

Background & Key Information

1. Services Bookings

 (a) Confirmation: Once you place a request we will provide confirmation of the booking via SMS, email or a push notification. Once your booking has been confirmed, you will be required to make the payment in accordance with the Terms or as indicated on the Platform. Once a Service Professional has been identified for the requested Pro Services, you shall receive confirmation in App or via SMS, email or a push notification

(b) Cancellations: Bookings that are cancelled before confirmation on the Platform will not be charged. DiY cancellation policy sets out applicable cancellation fees.

(c) Substitution: In case of the unavailability of, or cancellation by a selected Service Professional, we will offer you a substitute of the Service Professional from among our registered Service Professionals.

2. Pre-made Design Sketches:

  1. There is no cancellation policy for the pre-made design sketches purchased from DiY Platform as they are provided with all the information on the design and once received are non-returnable.
  2. DIY will not be liable for any cancellation or refund arising from the faulty or inferior or damaged products as offered by the Third-Party Vendors for the products used in the design.

3. Service Professionals:

  1. You may elect to cancel your request for services from Service Professional at any time prior to such Service Professional’s allotment, in which case you may be charged a cancellation fee in accordance with DiY’s cancellation policy. DiY reserves the right to charge you, or otherwise deduct applicable taxes in respect of such cancellation fee.
  2. For the avoidance of doubt, please note that the charges are payable to Service Professionals, and DiY acts as a limited collection agent on behalf of such Service Professionals to collect and transfer amounts due to them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to the amount commission we receive in respect of a particular booking made on the Platform. In no event shall our total liability to you in connection with these Terms exceed INR 2500 (two thousand five hundred).
  3. You agree that in the event a Service Professional behaves in a manner that is discourteous, disrespectful, abusive, inappropriate, or in violation of the law, you shall be required to report such incident to grievances@dointeriorsyourself.com at the earliest but in any event within 48 (forty eight) hours of such incident.

4. Cancellations by DiY

  1. DiY reserves the right to refuse/ cancel any appointment for any reason. This shall be regardless of whether the appointment has been confirmed and/ or payment has been received. Further, DiY, at its sole discretion, may cancel any appointment(s):
  • If it suspects a fraudulent transaction, or
  • If it suspects a Client has undertaken a transaction which is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions

 

Refund

  1. Charges and fees that you pay are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by DiY or required by the applicable laws. Under certain laws, you may be entitled to a refund or other remedies for a failure in the provision of the services.
  2. We may use a third-party payment processor (“Payment Processor”) to bill you through your selected mode of payment. The processing of payments/refunds will be subject to the terms and policies of such Payment Processor in addition to these Terms. We shall not be liable for any error of the Payment Processor. In the event of any unsuccessful payment, the money debited shall be credited in accordance with the terms of the Payment Processor.
  3. In case of cancellations-
  4. Refund will be processed only if the cancellation has been done in compliance with this Policy.
  5. Refunds will equal the price you paid for the service, and such other charges that DiY may at its own discretion deduct. If multiple services were ordered and only part of the order is to be cancelled, then you will be refunded only for the price of the order component cancelled. Further, in the event any service is cancelled, then any offer, promotion, discount applied to such service shall also be forfeited.
  6. In case the Client refuses to accept the service, no refund will be provided to the Client.
  7. If your cancellation is approved, for payments made through payment processor, refund shall be processed by DiY in the same payment mode, may be reflected in the account within 7-10 business days.
  8. DiY reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel any refund for reasons including but not limited to:

 

  1. fraud or malpractice committed by the Client; or
  2. for any other reason that DIY may deem fit.
  3. DiY offers no guarantees whatsoever for the accuracy or timeliness of the refunds in the client’s account.
  4. Further, DiY assumes no responsibility and shall incur no liability if it is unable to affect any payment instruction(s) on the payment date owing to any one or more of the following circumstances:

 

  1. If the payment instruction(s) issued by you is/ are incomplete, inaccurate, and invalid and delayed;
  2. If the payment account has insufficient funds/ limits to cover for the amount as mentioned in the payment instruction(s);
  • If the funds available in the payment account are under any encumbrance or charge;
  1. If your bank refuses or delays honouring the payment instruction(s);
  2. Circumstances beyond the control of DiY, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, natural disasters, bank strikes, power failure, systems failure like computer or telephone lines breakdown due to an unforeseeable cause or interference from an outside force;

In case the payment is not effected for any reason, you will be intimated about the failed payment by an e-mail
