Our Roots: Pioneering DIY Design

People today have developed a lifestyle with high expectations when it comes to the interiors of their spaces. This is exactly where Do Interiors Yourself (DIY) steps in. We at DIY, after a thorough research in the industry, have recognised everyone’s need of the hour. The increased social media searches and interests about interior designing show that interiors have now become the need for almost everyone, unlike earlier, when it was just dreamt of by a few people.
Keeping this in mind, DIY was born to make interior designing affordable and easily accessible to all. We provide a variety of choices in the form of pre-made designs made from standard layouts by our expert designers for our users to choose from. We make sure that we not only provide design images but practical setups with source links to all the furniture used in those pre-made designs. Furthermore, eliminating the need of hiring professional help, we allow our users to limitlessly choose several designs at once to create their combination of colour, style, area, and setup at a minimal costing of just ₹300 – ₹650 per design.

Pre-Made & Personalized Sketches

We allow our users to select a design based on their individual needs and taste. Once a design made out of the standard layouts is selected, we provide our users with a link that leads them to the online store from where they can buy the furniture used in the selected design with matching furnishings styles from designer collections.

Online Interior Design & Vastu Consultancy

In a short time from now, we shall also provide end-to-end customised online design service, wherein our professional designers would create designs on clients’ spaces and layouts as per their personal requirements. In addition, we are also soon going to start providing online Vastu consultancy to our users. With this, we will make sure to get as deep into Vastu-related solutions for our users helping them achieve balance and energy within their space.

3D Design Previews

We will soon give our users the opportunity to virtually visualise their future space with 3D models in real-time, allowing them to look through and see how things will actually look.

Simplifying Design Consultation Experience

We acknowledge that every client has their own needs, hence we ensure that our services are flexible and adaptable to each client. After our first consultation, our users are allotted plans about the design process. We then go through the plans in detail and discuss the final details of the project via a follow-up session with our users.. Our focus mainly lies in the following:

One-hour Online Meeting:

The core of our business is an individual client approach that starts with an affordable one-hour online meeting which can then be extended and modified according to our users’ requirements.

3D Design Services

Once the final design is in place, we will provide a 3D view of the space using those interiors for our users to have a better and clear understanding of how the design would actually look

Vastu Consultancy

For a more positive energy within the space, we are soon going to start providing one-to-one Vastu consultancy through online meetings and vastu drawings at an additional yet affordable cost.

Meet Our Founder

Our founder, Kanupriya Gupta, exactly caught the wants and needs of the common man. She understood that good interiors are now an integral part of everyone’s lifestyle however, not everyone can afford it. Hence, she came up with the idea of DIY that allows users to choose from pre-made designs and get the desired interiors done for their spaces. Gupta is known for launching her first brand, Clarus, which used environment-friendly materials for home designs. Kanupriya’s such sustainable vision further supported her to start DIY.

What further extended her commitment towards starting DIY and providing cost-efficient interiors to all, was her professional journey which is recognised through several milestones. She was awarded by the ‘Women Entrepreneur’ magazine as one of the Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs in Interior Design. Secondly, she was also given the top 40 Best Interior Designer Award by Design Awards India. One of Gupta’s most recent achievements also involved her grabbing a position as one of the Top 10 Global Women Architects of the Year by ‘Global Women Leader’ in 2023. All these achievements and several others to come, have proven very impactful in Gupta’s journey of starting DIY.
